I am an artist and photographer in the Owensboro area. My photography work is primarily photojournalistic and event photography being able to tell a story that draws the viewer in and allows them to experience a moment that I have captured. I believe that a photo is a small frame in time and the art is being in the right place and capturing something that is true and accurate to life. For art I do watercolor painting. Watercolor is an interesting medium. The paint is translucent so the end painting will show every mark you've made along the way. Some of my favorite watercolor techniques are wet in wet. While doing wet in wet techniques the paper is already loaded with water/paint and then you paint over top of the loaded paint and that causes them to bleed and run into each other. During this process you are not fully in control of how and where the water flows which is part of the beauty when it works.
